Vice President of Student Affairs
The Vice President for Student Affairs is responsible for leading all aspects of the College’s student affairs division within the context of an integrated education program, including student services and programming, with the ultimate objective of developing and sustaining a campus community that values diversity and where students are healthy, safe and actively engaged in their education, both inside and outside the classroom. As a member of the President’s Council, the Vice President of Student Affairs collaborates with other senior administrators in positioning the College, managing college-wide resources, and advancing Landmark’s distinctive mission, culture, programs, and services.
The Vice President will provide vision and leadership in managing the departments within the Student Affairs Division including Residential Life, Programming & Activities, and Health & Counseling Services. The Vice President provides leadership and oversight for Student Affairs staff, student groups, and other members of the Landmark College community in developing extracurricular and co-curricular programming, including athletics, that complements and supports the mission of the College and fosters a student culture that values diversity and in which students learn to respect differences, take responsibility for their actions and exercise leadership.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Master’s Degree (doctorate preferred) and significant senior level administrative experience in a higher educational student service or related environment. Extensive previous experience with the planning and implementation of multi-faceted student services programs. Excellent leadership and managerial skills and the capacity to supervise and lead a talented and diverse staff. Previous student affairs budget development and administration experience and a comprehensive understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to student services and programs, including ADA. Strong leadership and communications skills are essential, as the nature of interactions may be sensitive and are important to the College’s mission. The position requires excellent oral and written communication skills as well as outstanding interpersonal, presentation and team building skills. The Vice President must have a commitment to collaborating with academic affairs in sustaining a fully integrated education program, as well as to a full and visible participation in the formal and informal life of the campus community. Must possess or develop a familiarity with the issues facing students with learning disabilities and ADHD.

Director of Transfer Services
The Director of Transfer Services is the operational manager for the Office of Transfer Services and is responsible for the development, direction, and implementation of policies and procedures to assist students in making appropriate transitions from LMC to other four year colleges and universities, and in aiding students to develop life goals and career options. These activities will take shape in three major service areas: Internship Programs, Career Development and College Placement. The Director manages staff and works closely with LMC Admissions Office staff, college advisors and other teaching faculty to provide student opportunities in the three major service areas in developing a plan for each student who enters LMC that follows the student from matriculation through post LMC planning. The Director will develop substantive professional relationships with transfer directors and admission deans at colleges to which students transfer; and assist the admissions staff members in their recruiting through additional contact with academic deans and support service directors at other colleges and universities
Required Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. Requires a minimum of five years experience in college admissions and, or college advising. Experience in student development, student affairs, or career placement would be an advantage. Management experience is required along with the demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff, students, parents and professionals outside the College. The ability to work both collaboratively and independently, while meeting rapidly changing deadlines is required. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and oral/ written communication skills are essential. Successful candidates will have a genuine interest in, understanding of, and commitment to the issues and concerns of students with learning disabilities and ADHD.

Business Faculty
Landmark College, the nation’s premier college for students with dyslexia, ADHD and specific learning disabilities has an opportunity for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Business – Accounting.
The Business Studies Department, invites applications for Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting. Appointment will begin in the fall of 2006. Primary responsibility is to teach three undergraduate accounting courses (Principles of Accounting I & II, and Managerial Accounting).
The successful candidate must possess a Master of Accounting, or an MBA with a CPA license. Experience teaching college students with learning differences is highly desirable. A Ph.D. in Accounting and teaching at the collegiate level is preferred.

Information Technology
Web Developer
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Web Services is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the Intranet campus-wide communication and information system, and related web-based course management systems. The Manager collaborates with faculty and staff on web project planning and implementation, and provides user training on web resources and consultation and back-end maintenance for the College’s public website.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience related to web-based technologies and a minimum of three years experience managing web services preferably in a higher education environment. A minimum of two years experience with web application design and programming; strong working knowledge of HTML, SQL, Javascript, CGI and at least one of CFML, PHP or ASP; and experience maintaining web servers are required. Experience with CSS, Cold Fusion and Apache web servers is preferred. Solid understanding of web usability and accessibility requirements and strategies as well as site, page, and content design is necessary. Successful experience managing projects and a strong ability to communicate and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students are essential.

Manager of Database and Web Services
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Manager of Database and Web Services is responsible for managing and supporting the College’s administrative and academic enterprise database and Intranet systems and resources. The Manager develops needs assessment and workflow analysis and implements appropriate strategies to support the College’s integrated information architecture in a highly collaborative environment. The Manager supervises a Database Application Specialist and Web Developer.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of six years experience managing, implementing, and supporting web-enabled enterprise database systems, including financial, student, and academic systems, in a higher education environment as well as expertise in database design with an understanding of database programming, preferably with SQL, are required. Demonstrated experience successfully managing projects and project teams is necessary. A minimum of two years of supervisory experience is also required. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students are essential.

Resident Dean
This full-time live-in position is responsible for the overall supervision of a designated residential area and creating an environment conducive to developmental and academic achievement and the facilitation of responsible, meaningful patterns of group and individual living. RD’s are responsible for administering a variety of operational, educational, and developmental functions, designed to foster personal development and a sense of community within the residence hall. The position includes an apartment within the residence hall and a full meal plan.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree, plus excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership skills. A Master’s degree in a related area and/or background in residence/student life and experience working with students with learning differences are preferred.

Resident Director, Summer High School Program (2 positions available)
June 25, 2006-August 3, 2006
These full-time live-in positions are responsible for the overall supervision of a designated residential area and for creating an environment conducive to student development and academic achievement and the facilitation of responsible, meaningful patterns of group and individual living. RD’s are responsible for administering a variety of operational, educational, and developmental functions, designed to foster personal development and a sense of community within the residence hall including counseling and advising individual students, serving on college committee and supervising a paraprofessional staff of Resident Assistants.
The Summer Program for High School Students is a three-week residential program designed to build the skills of high school students with learning differences or AD/HD through coursework, activities, experiential learning and the development of self-understanding and self-advocacy skills. The Resident Director (RD) is responsible for providing supervision to para-professional residential staff, coordination with other departments (health services and activities), managing operational systems in the program and providing direct support to students as needed. The primary work schedule for this position is in the afternoon through night. The work schedule will include days off for staff members. Training for professional & paraprofessional staff occurs from June 25-July 7. The program runs from July 8-28. Administrative work continues until August 3.
Qualifications: A masters degree in Student Life Administration or related field or a Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience; excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. The ability to responsibly handle sensitive/confidential information is critical, as well as the ability to work flexible, and non-traditional hours. Experience working with students with learning differences is a plus.

Residential Proctors, Summer High School Program (16 positions available)

The Resident Proctor (RP) is responsible for providing direction and support to students in the residence halls and during out-of-classroom activities. RPs also provide support and assistance to the Resident Directors. The primary work hours for this position are between 3:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m. The work schedule will include days off for staff members.
