Deborah Lazar Exhibit at the Putney Library

"Local People, Places and Things" are the subject of paintings by local artist, Deborah Lazar, at the library.

She says, "My current work grows out of a desire to create images that include a local theme. The people in my paintings are friends, acquaintances or clients. I paint landscapes of places that are within a few miles of my home.......".

Vermont Weaving School Offers Fall Classes

Beginning Weaving:
Tues: 5-7:30 (begins Sept 14) or Wed: 11-1:30 (begins Sept 15)
Basics of weaving and all of the skills necessary to create a finished piece of fabric. Class size will be small enough to accommodate beginners as well as students with prior experience.

Private museum tour in Putney

Did you know that there is a new, private sculpture museum in Putney?

On August 24 at 6 p.m., Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is launching a new series for museum members called "Hidden in the Hills," which consists of occasional tours led by chief curator Mara Williams of artist studios and special collections located throughout southern Vermont.
